Flag Crew

The Carlson Elementary Flag Crew raises and lowers the flags of the United States of America and Arizona on a daily basis (weather permitting). The Flag Crew assures that the flag is hung and displayed properly as well as taken down and stored correctly.  The Flag Crew also participates in our patriotic assemblies as well as presents the flag at our quarterly Champion assemblies.  The Carlson Flag Crew is made up of 5^th and 6^th graders who are responsible, dependable leaders that work well with others and demonstrate teamwork.   

Meeting Dates: The opportunity to participate in Flag Crew is presented to 5^th and 6^th graders in August.  Mandatory training meetings are held at the end of August.  Students are put into crews and assigned a day for Flag Crew duties.  Occasional celebratory meetings are held to check in, thank our leaders, and celebrate their dedication. 

Club Sponsors: Mrs. Conner & Mrs. Ruddle

Guidelines: 5^th and 6^th graders who perform their flag duties on their assigned day.  Flag Crew is made up of students who are responsible, dependable, exhibit good behavior, demonstrate strong teamwork, and display proper respect for the flags and our country.  If they know they will be absent, they notify the advisors so they can fill their spot on the day they are gone.
